I don't reopened that bug without checking first that isn't fixed. Did you checked that? And I also checked it changing the skin in preferences, not only with the useskin.

Now seems fixed, but not before. And yes, I'm aware of that problem reports --Ciencia Al Poder ¿Algo que decir? 07:24 22 ago 2008 (UTC)Responder[responder]

What is the point on closing open reports (possibly without understanding the probelm itself)? --Ciencia Al Poder ¿Algo que decir? 17:34 31 ago 2008 (UTC)Responder[responder]
re: #12069 Because it had been open since July, with no apparent problem on that page. What was the problem on that template? I'm willing to help fix it, just nothing looked broken.
re: ProblemReports in general: the problem report system is more for users to report problems on the wikis that they cant/dont know how to fix, and wait for and admin to fix it (or in the case of spam/vandalism/badness for janitors/helpers/staff to clean it up). Its not a good way way for admins to suggest improvements to Wikia. Yes, there is the "need staff help" option, but that is for when things are broken on the wiki software/server, and not something on the wiki pages.

I opened that PR as a "task" or "to-do", not to suggest Wikia anything. And please, don't act like you're talking to a noob. Just look around here. I would prefer to read a Because we look for all PR looking for vandalism on wikis with no active admins to mark them for "needs wikia help" and we're cleaning up them to easily find them. We hope you understand this. Sorry for the inconvenience. That would be more reasonable. Anyway, I got the point, so I won't create more PR. --Ciencia Al Poder ¿Algo que decir? 19:52 1 sep 2008 (UTC)Responder[responder]
To start off, I'm very sorry if I came off in anyway that I was talking down to you. I really was not trying to do so, I know your very wiki knowledgeable. Its not anything against you personally, I just have learned to fully explain my self in matters like this, so that anyone else reading it (now or later) isnt lost, also so that no meaning of my reasoning/actions are assumed.
We're trying to raise the awareness of the system PR amongst both users and admins. Many many many false/non-problem reports are submitted everyday (many are simple things that the user could have just edit'd the page themselves). In an effort to try to minimize the number of reports that sit open for months on end unseen , and that we have to sift through to find things that do need outside intervention, we're trying to get them resolved/fixed as soon as possible (they pile very up quickly on a global scale).
An example of this, if a user submits a problem report that a page needs deleted, that issue is better handled by marking the page with the appropriate {{delete}}-like template instead. that report doesnt need to sit in an "open" status until the page is deleted. an admin might be watching the local "things that need deleted" category for new things, but might (very likely) not know about the problem report asking for it to be deleted.
you are a rare exception (sadly). you are aware of the problem report system. you would have seen that report to delete it, and taken care of it directly. the far far larger majority of admins dont know. We're trying to raise that awareness, and also educate both the admins and users on things that are good/not-good uses of the system. By stepping in and handling them quickly (even if only to mark it local templates/categories), we hope to instill the idea that they are something to be handled quickly, and not left around for weeks.
your use of it as a "todo/task" keeper, was not "wrong", dont get that impression, just un-conventional, and it was falsely interpreted by me as something that was broken now, not something to be done in the future, and since it was not broken now, the report was unneeded. many many reports come in daily about templates/infoboxes that are broken, or the user doesnt understand how to use it. we're glad to step in and help fix small errors/bugs in templates. takes some of the work load off admins, and often, they didnt know how to fix it.

Thanks for the response. As you could see, I'd understood your feelings about those reports. There's one thing that I'd recommend: a message on the talk page of the report would be good. Anyway, I'll use other systems for such "todo/tasks" so your life will become easier :D --Ciencia Al Poder ¿Algo que decir? 19:40 2 sep 2008 (UTC)Responder[responder]
I will make it a point to leave more notes in the future. --Uberfuzzy (discusión) 19:41 2 sep 2008 (UTC)Responder[responder]

Re: Blankdot.gif[editar código]

The answer is at MediaWiki:Common.js (conditional comment for IE). Hack for IE6 png images on infoboxes. Is making any trouble? I changed it to use Special:FilePath some days ago, because the change in filepath --Ciencia Al Poder ¿Algo que decir? 07:15 1 jul 2009 (UTC)Responder[responder]

Ah, didnt look there. No, not a problem. Was just pretty high on the cache miss list, and the strange url stuck out and they had me look into it. Now, seeing that its something loaded by IE6, that explains it, IE6 has horrible caching. Thanks for the help. --Uberfuzzy<staff /> 08:03 1 jul 2009 (UTC)Responder[responder]
